CSL offers a new way of learning: it is experiential education in which students, teachers and external partners work together on societal challenges. In the framework of the VU sustainability strategy implementation, CSL and the Sustainability Leadership Hub will organize a workshop on how Community Service Learning can be used to integrate sustainability into teaching practices.

In this Learning Lab, experts will explain what CSL is and will provide examples of how it can be used to integrate sustainability into education. This will be followed by a participatory workshop. With the help of experts, we will co-design hands-on, actionable and inspiring CSL tools for socially and environmentally conscious education that is also mindful of teachers’ time and resources.
