Course: Supervision and assessment of internships and theses, Wednesday 4 and 18 March 2020

An internship and thesis are intensive parts of the curriculum. The supervision of these educational modules requires a lot of effort from the teacher. In this course you will learn how to supervise an internship or thesis as efficiently as possible. For the student, but also for yourself.

For whom?
Teachers who supervise internships and/or theses at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.

Content and results
Particularly in the final phase of university studies, it is important to offer students adequate individual guidance. The course prepares you thoroughly for this. You will learn to tackle common problems in the supervision and assessment of internships and theses. You will explore methods to support the student’s learning process ‘tailor made’, design a supervision plan and learn how to assess a thesis or internship report honestly and transparently. You will also practise effective feedback to students and interview techniques. 
The course consists of two half-day meetings. In addition, you will spend approximately 6 hours preparing and working out assignments.
