SURF Open en Online incentive scheme 2021

Use of ICT in education offers opportunities for innovation and quality improvement. The Minister of Education, Culture and Science is therefore making funding available for the last time this year through the Open and Online Education Incentive Scheme. You can submit your project up to and including 15 December 2021.

Educational institutions that wish to experiment with open and online education can submit a project proposal for the final round of the Open and Online Education Incentive Scheme coordinated by SURF. This scheme consists of two components: online education and Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Online education
In the Online education track, participants are challenged to enrich education with online teaching methods. Or to redesign education with the possibilities that online education offers. The year’s theme for 2022 is “The optimal blend”.

Open Educational Resources
The OERs track challenges participants to build and reuse collections of OERs within the professional community together with other teachers.

VU Amsterdam process

The proposal is submitted via Marrij Zeeman (SOZ), m.l.zeeman@vu.nl. She is available for advice and can provide support to make the proposal as promising as possible. This means, among other things, that she will ensure that the applications from VU will be channelled and provided with a signature from the Executive Board (CvB) at the right time. If you are planning to submit an application, please note that the relevant faculty board must approve the application before the CvB can sign it. If there are too many applications, the CvB may decide not to support all proposals.

The deadline for submitting a proposal is 15 December 2021. Please contact Marrij Zeeman by 15 November 2021 for advice and a signature from the CvB.
